Our History
In June of 1973, Galaxy Auto Centers opened in Columbia Heights and Brooklyn Park. In 1983 the business was purchased by Donald Logelin, who is the current owner. After a few years of hard work, the business began to grow steadily, and the Spring Lake Park location was added in November of 1989. With good leadership, dedicated employees and a commitment to provide the best service in the industry, the shops continued to grow.
By 1993 we had outgrown the Brooklyn Park facility, and it became obvious that we needed to expand or move. At this time, we were fortunate enough to find our current location at 4309 85th Avenue, and we moved there in April of 1993. During the summer of 2006, we remodeled our Columbia Heights and Brooklyn Park locations, and in 2008 we remodeled the Spring Lake Park location. All three stores now feature state–of-the-art automotive technology, and comfortable waiting rooms with wi-fi and free beverages.
